STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of Transplantation Reports, a new online-only open access journal covering all areas of transplantation. This peer-reviewed journal will contribute to knowledge in clinical and experimental surgery, and will make patient education and history widely available to the transplant community.

EDP Sciences launches Liberty APCs, reinforces support of Open Access publishing
STM publisher EDP Sciences has announced the launch of Liberty APCs – a new model where the author chooses their own fair price to publish an article in Open Access (OA). The Liberty APCs model means that authors can choose from a number of options, the level of article processing charge (APC) they will pay to publish their article – including an amount of 0€ in 2016.

F1000Workspace announces integration with Google Docs

IOS Press editors recognised by Thomson Reuters as a 2015 Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher
STM publisher IOS Press has announced that two of its editors – Maurizio Battino and Hojjat Adeli – have been awarded by Thomson Reuters. The editors were recognised as a 2015 Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher. Thomson Reuters carefully analysed citation data over an 11-year period using Thomson Reuters Web of ScienceTM and InCitesTM to identify some of the best and brightest scientific minds.
