Elsevier, PaperHive collaboration to enable users to access, share and annotate content from ScienceDirect database
STM publisher Elsevier will collaborate with Berlin-based scientific collaboration platform PaperHive to enable researchers to easily discover, share and annotate the over 12 million articles on ScienceDirect, the world’s largest database of scientific, technical and medical full-text content. PaperHive will integrate the ScienceDirect Application Programming Interface (API) to enable their users to search through full-text ScienceDirect articles – the official versions of record – from the PaperHive platform, and will enable sharing and annotating.

Nature Publishing Group in deal with the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection to co-publish npj Materials Degradation
Scientific publisher Nature Publishing Group (NPG), part of Springer Nature, has reached an agreement with the Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection (CSCP) to help address this global problem by co-publishing npj Materials Degradation. It will be the first highly selective and open access journal in the field of materials degradation, with the most extensive coverage across both metallic and non-metallic materials.

Wolters Kluwer, a global provider of information and point of care solutions for the healthcare industry, has announced a partnership with the International Forum for the Study of Itch (IFSI) to launch a new peer-reviewed, open access journal, Itch. Nine members of the Dutch UKB consortium sign open access and license agreement with Karger Publishers
Nine members of the Dutch UKB consortium have finalized an agreement with Karger Publishers which incorporates the publication of a fixed number of Open Access (OA) articles into the license arrangement. The Swiss-based company is one of the first publishing houses to implement this innovative model in the Netherlands, after the Dutch government prioritized OA for Dutch Universities.
