Elsevier, a global information analytics company specialising in science and health, has released CiteScore 2016 annual values and a number of improvements to its set of simple, reproducible serial metrics that cover all journals, book series, conference proceedings and trade publications in Scopus. CiteScore metrics now include 2016 annual values.

IET calls on the electrical industry to have its say on the 18th Edition of IET Wiring Regulations
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is calling on the electrical industry to have its say and influence the content of the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), following the release of the Draft for Public Comment (DPC) for BS 7671:2018. The DPC allows users of the IET Wiring Regulations to see the proposed content and put forward their views to JPEL/64, the decision-making committee behind BS 7671.

Research Information will host its first one-day conference, in partnership with London Info International. ‘Challenges in the Scholarly Publishing Cycle,’ an interactive one-day conference for publishers, information professionals and academics, will be held on December 4 at the Business Design Centre, London. Kathi Kromer new head of ALA Washington Office
The American Library Association has announced the appointment of Kathi Kromer as the new Associate Executive Director (AED), Washington, D.C. Office. Kromer will join the ALA Washington Office team on June 5, 2017. Prior to joining ALA, Kromer was with The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association for 11 years where she was their Vice President, Strategy and Outreach.
