The Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) will preserve its ChemZentTM solution through Portico’s d-collection service, ensuring that it will be secure and available to ChemZent customers in the future. ChemZent provides academic, commercial and government organisations with access to the first and only English-searchable version of Chemisches Zentralblatt, the oldest journal of chemistry abstracts, covering the literature from 1830-1969.

 EBSCO Industries promotes David Walker as new CEO
EBSCO Industries, headquartered atop Oak Mountain off Highway 280, has announced that Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer David Walker has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer effective September 1.  CHORUS and IARPA sign participation agreement
CHORUS has announced an agreement with the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), part of the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), to expand public access to the results of its funded research. IARPA will employ CHORUS’ services to build on open standards, distributed networks and established infrastructure to advance access to scholarly articles reporting on IARPA-funded research, as well as enable agency indexing and long-term preservation of those articles.
