Mary Ann Mavrinac, vice provost and the Andrew H. and Janet Dayton Neilly dean of the University of Rochester Libraries, began a one-year term as president of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) on October 4, 2017, during the Association’s Fall 2017 Meeting in Washington, DC. Mavrinac succeeds Mary Case, university librarian and dean of libraries at University of Illinois at Chicago, as ARL president.
