 FBM RightsLink Customers in Germany to move over to the IPR License Platform
Customers in Germany currently using the FBM RightsLink platform, which is operated by Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), will transfer to IPR License’s Instant Permissions service at the end of the month. ForFrankfurter Buchmesse, the aim behind the move to IPR License is to have the full range of services in one system, rather than developing and managing two systems independently.

 ASM and Publons partner to bring recognition to peer reviewers
The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) has announced a partnership with Publons to support scientists who agree to serve as reviewers of manuscripts submitted to the ASM Journals. Through the partnership, ASM reviewers are able to seamlessly keep a record of every review performed for ASM’s journals, past and present. Reviewers can use these records as evidence of their previously hidden contributions to ASM’s esteemed scholarly journals.

 CALIBRE awarded NLM data review contract
CALIBRE Systems, Inc. (CALIBRE) has been awarded a new contract with the National Library of Medicine. CALIBRE will support the National Library of Medicine by reviewing and entering metadata on journal article citations that have been approved for indexing in MEDLINE, a database of bibliographic information for medicine and the life sciences.

 LIBER announces two new Executive Board members
The Association of European Research Libraries (LIBER) has announced that two new library professionals — Agnès Ponsati Obiols, Digital Library and Information Systems Director at the Spanish National Library, and Bertil Dorch, Director of the University Library of Southern Denmark — have joined the Executive Board. Both were appointed to the Board by LIBER libraries during the Meeting of Participants in June, and will join the Executive Board’s next meeting on October 19-20 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
