 AIP Publishing and STM Association announce Jason Wilde as Chair, STM Board of Directors
AIP Publishing and The International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers (STM), a global trade association for academic and professional publishers, have appointed Jason Wilde as Chair of the STM Board of Directors at the association’s annual meeting in Frankfurt. Wilde will lead the 15-member STM Board as the association approaches its 50th Anniversary next year.

 EDP Sciences and TIB sign agreement to publish OA conference proceedings
Not-for-profit publisher EDP Sciences recently signed a partnership agreement with the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology – to support the publication of conference proceedings in a number of STM fields. The agreement will enable the TIB to publish all German conference proceedings in the areas of Physics, Engineering and Technology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Sciences in the Web of Conferences journal series at a special discounted rate.

 DOAJ and Scientific Knowledge Services partner to achieve broader support for open access to scientific literature
The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) has announced the agreement with Scientific Knowledge Services (SKS) as its exclusive agent in a selection of countries from the EMEA region. Scientific Knowledge Services will be responsible for facilitating financial support to DOAJ and in this way contribute to the work of DOAJ to assess and promote quality, peer reviewed open access journals.

 Washington Research Library Consortium extends Ex Libris Alma and Primo implementation to additional libraries of member universities
Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the number of libraries participating in the Ex Libris Alma® and Primo® implementation at the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) has recently increased to 16. Georgetown University’s Law Library, American University’s Pence Law Library, and George Washington University’s Jacob Burns Law Library and Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library will now be able to take advantage of the consortium’s implementation of the Alma library management service and Primo discovery and delivery solution.
