The Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters has announced a collaboration with Russia’s Scientific Electronic Library eLibrary.ru to make content from the Russian Science Citation Index accessible via the Web of Science. Under the initiative, content from the Russian Science Citation Index (1000 top-tier scholarly publications in Russia) will be made available as a new dataset on the Web of Science.

STM publisher Springer is collaborating with the German Society of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (DGKJ) to publish a new open access journal Molecular and Cellular Pediatrics. The first articles have already been published and are freely available on the journal’s website at www.molcellped.com. The new international and interdisciplinary journal covers the results of innovative research in current molecular and cellular concepts in pediatrics.

OCLC introduces WorldCat Discovery API beta, offers libraries access to WorldCat and a central index representing aggregated e-resource collections
OCLC, the non-profit computer library service and research organisation, has announced the beta availability of the new WorldCat Discovery API, which provides access for libraries to search and find resources in both WorldCat and a central index of article and e-book metadata that represent the wide range of resources libraries provide to their users. The WorldCat Discovery API exposes library collection data for items in WorldCat, including materials held by individual member libraries, consortia and libraries worldwide.
