Florida’s Council of State University Libraries join NFAIS as new member
The National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAISTM), a global nonprofit membership organisation serving the information services community, has announced that the state of Florida’s Council of State University Libraries (CSUL) has joined NFAIS as a new member. The CSUL mission is to direct collaborative efforts to build collections, share resources and provide library services and programs that support the teaching, research and service agendas of the State Universities of Florida.

Springer Nature, a global research, educational and professional publisher, has announced the appointment of Rachel Jacobs, Group General Counsel, Springer Nature to the Springer Nature Board. Rachel was appointed Group General Counsel for Springer Nature in May 2015, following the creation of the new company through the merger of Macmillan Science and Education with Springer Science+Business Media.

IET and TESP join forces to promote new apprenticeship standard
The Electrotechnical Skills Partnership (TESP) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) recently organised an event bringing together employers and training providers to inform them about the latest apprenticeship developments.
