Springer Nature and The Hormel Institute launch new OA journal – npj Precision Oncology
Global publisher Springer Nature has announced that it will publish npj Precision Oncology, a new open access, international, peer-reviewed journal, in partnership with The Hormel Institute University of Minnesota in Austin, Minnesota, United States. The journal is currently open for submissions. It is expected to launch its first content at the end of 2016.

SfN appoints new Editor-In-Chief for The Journal of Neuroscience
The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) has announced the appointment of Marina Picciotto of Yale University as editor-in-chief of The Journal of Neuroscience, effective May 1. Picciotto, a former senior editor of JNeurosci as well as a past SfN treasurer and councillor, has served as the interim editor-in-chief since September 2015. Picciotto’s term will run from May 2016 to December 2020.

ACRL becomes key dissemination partner for the NMC Horizon Report > Library Edition

Concordia University in Montreal becomes first Quebec university to adopt Get It Now
Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) and Copibec have announced a partnership with Concordia University in Montreal, which becomes the first Quebec university to use Get It Now. This service, already adopted by about 350 US higher education institutions, gives CEGEPs and universities access to millions of scientific articles, most of which can subsequently be copied under licenses offered by Copibec to the education sector.
