Elsevier and the International Society of Nephrology launch new OA journal – Kidney International Reports
STM publisher Elsevier and the International Society of Nephrology (ISN), the global medical society devoted to advancing kidney care worldwide, have announced the launch of Kidney International Reports (KI Reports). Wiley partners with Hindawi to transition nine journals to open access
Publisher John Wiley and Sons, Inc. and Hindawi have announced a new partnership that will strengthen both publishers’ commitment to open access publishing. This new collaboration will see nine Wiley subscription journals converting to open access starting in January 2017. Hindawi will take over the editorial and production workflow for each of the journals within the partnership.

ProQuest simplifies book acquisition workflows with OASIS-Alma integration
ProQuest has announced the launch of a new, streamlined acquisition process for academic and research libraries that use the Ex Libris Alma® library management system and the ProQuest OASIS® workflow solution, a web-based system for searching, selecting and ordering print and electronic books. Via an Alma API, all electronic and print book orders placed via OASIS will be automatically updated in Alma in real time. Altmetric announces integration of Scopus citation data into Altmetric Explorer platforms
Alternative metrics provider Altmetric has announced the addition of Scopus citation counts to the Altmetric Explorer for Publishers and Institutions platforms, enabling users to view the academic impact of over five million research outputs alongside the online attention they have received from a broader audience.
