Springer Nature authors can now submit more of their research outputs via new data submission portal powered by Figshare

Figshare, an online digital repository for academic research, has launched a new tool that enables authors to share their research outputs more efficiently during the publishing process. Springer Nature is the first publisher to pilot this new data submission portal and have worked closely with Figshare to build a customised service to support open research. The tool will reduce the amount of information authors must complete to share data supporting their publications.

CSHL collaborates with Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to boost sharing of scientific research

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) has announced a new collaboration with the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) that will help accelerate the understanding of life science for the benefit of human health and disease. New funding from CZI will support the development and expansion of CSHL’s bioRxiv preprint service, a free platform that enables life science researchers to quickly and easily share drafts of papers before they are published in peer-reviewed research journals.

The Optical Society members and leaders participate in Global March for Science
