USMAI Library Consortium selects OCLC SCS to manage print collections

Nonprofit global library cooperative OCLC has announced that the University System of Maryland & Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) Library Consortium has selected the OCLC Sustainable Collection Services to analyse and inform decision-making about managing print collections among its member libraries. The USMAI Library Consortium comprises 17 college and university libraries in Maryland.

CARL and OCUL in deal to enhance data management and digital preservation in Canada

The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) and the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL)have signed an agreement to work together to identify and advance regional and national issues relating to the data discovery, management and digital preservation needs of the Canadian research community. The agreement brings together research data management expertise from CARL’s Portage Network and digital preservation expertise from OCUL’s Scholars Portal to work together on identifying areas of integration and interoperability across systems supporting research data in Canada.
