Springer Nature’s MyCopy service now available for library users in Israel

Springer Nature’s MyCopy service is now available for library users in Israel. MyCopy allows patrons of registered libraries to order a softcover copy of a Springer eBook for a flat fee of 24.99 (USD, GBP, EURO, CHF). Libraries in Israel which have bought the corresponding eBook collection now have the MyCopy service available for their users.

More than 200 libraries in North Carolina gain access to rich content and a modern discovery experience through Summon service

North Carolina’s innovative consortium NC LIVE is teaming with ProQuest and Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, to expand its offering of ProQuest® databases along with the renowned Summon® discovery service to each of its more than 200 member libraries. This unprecedented six-year agreement with NC LIVE will both expand the digital content available to North Carolinians and make it easier to discover.

The UK Medical Heritage Library now available online for free

A £1m project to digitise more than 15 million pages of 19th century medical texts has been completed and the material is now available online for free. Covering much more than just medical sciences, this enormous library of text and images encompasses consumer health, sport and fitness, diet and nutrition, along with some weird and wonderful historical medical practices such as phrenology and hydrotherapy.

Figshare partners with ORCID to showcase staff contributions

Figshare, an online digital repository for academic research, has announced that ORCID, provider of persistent identifiers (iDs) for researchers, is now using Figshare to showcase its resources, documentation, staff contributions and other publicly available materials. All ORCID’s publicly available materials will now be available in a customised Figshare portal available at orcid.figshare.com.

Allen Press promotes Dan Scobee to Director of Manufacturing
