 Wiley celebrates its 210th anniversary with bell ringing at New York Stock Exchange
Publisher John Wiley and Sons Inc. has announced that its President and CEO, Brian A. Napack, and Director and member of the seventh generation of the Wiley family, Jesse C. Wiley, will ring the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on December 20, 2017 in celebration of the company’s 210th anniversary. Also present to mark the occasion will be Deborah Wiley, a member of the sixth generation; Matthew Kissner, Chairman of the Board; and members of senior management.

Academic publisher Taylor & Francis Group has announced that it will publish the Journal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament in partnership with the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Nagasaki University, effective 2018. The journal will be its first edited in East Asia to focus on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, enhancing the Group’s large list of International Relations, Strategic Studies and Defence Policy journals.

 Prof. Shu-Li You joins Science of Synthesis editorial board
Prof. Shu-Li You will join the editorial board of the chemical methods reference work Science of Synthesis (SOS), as of January 1, 2018. Prof. You, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Organometallic Chemistry at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, China, will take over from Prof. E. Jim Thomas. Thomas, formerly Professor for Synthetic Chemistry at the University of Manchester (UK) and co-founder of Science of Synthesis, will leave the editorial board after 17 years of service.
