 Scope creates drug monographs for a leading health portal
Scope e-Knowledge Center (Scope) has announced the successful delivery of 135 drug monographs for one of the world’s leading health information portals. The complex and specialised project required a very refined level of understanding of clinical pharmacology. Scope leveraged its in-house team of medical SMEs – physicians and pharmacologists – who conducted extensive research and analysis of the drugs and created monographs that would integrate with already existing monographs for the drugs approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

 AIP Publishing eliminates publication page charges across all journals
AIP Publishing has announced the elimination of publication page charges and colour charges, as of January 1, 2018, for all of the organisation’s journals, including Physics of Plasmas, Review of Scientific Instruments, and 10 other prominent peer-reviewed physical science titles. The company’s decision followed an assessment of the global publishing landscape, which found that the charges represented potential barriers to some researchers, and no longer serve the AIP Publishing non-profit mission.

 NISO to manage U.S. Group dedicated to document description and processing languages
The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) has been accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to take over management of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group for the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 34 – Document description and processing languages. This international technical committee is concerned with standardisation in the field of document structures, languages, and related facilities for the description and processing of compound and hypermedia documents.
