 APA creates open science and methodology chair to deepen commitment to data sharing, transparency in science
The American Psychological Association has created an open science and methodology chair to work with its authors, reviewers, editors and publications board to understand and develop best practices for the evolving landscape of open science in psychological research. APA’s Publications and Communications Board approved the post and will issue an open call to recruit for it in early summer.

 Editorial engagement and researcher collaboration tool from RedLink now available on selected journals published by Karger
RedLink has announced that medical and scientific publishing company Karger Publishers is the latest publisher to offer Remarq, a tool for the research and education communities bundling collaboration, annotation, commenting, article sharing, and editorial tools, all on the publisher’s site and utilising the version of record. Remarq is now available as a pilot on three Karger journals Caries Research, Digital Biomarkers, andFolia Phoniatrica et Logopaedica.

 Swiss National Science Foundation joins Europe PMC
The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) has become a member of Europe PMC, which maintains the world’s largest repository for biomedicine. Researchers funded by the SNSF can store their articles in the repository. This makes the articles accessible free of charge and the research results therein more visible. Some publishers will automatically upload all articles by SNSF-funded researchers to Europe PMC.

OCLC and Casalini Libri, a leading international library service provider based in Italy, have signed an agreement to expand their partnership to provide libraries with high quality bibliographic records that improve library users’ access to authoritative content. Under terms of the expanded agreement, Casalini Libri will provide bibliographic records for titles from over 4,000 publishers in Europe, in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Greek languages, in addition to Italian.
