 Elsevier expands Geofacets, adds content from the Indonesian Petroleum Association
Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced an expansion of Geofacets, its information solution for exploration and development, with the addition of content from the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA). Elsevier’s collaboration with the IPA will double the amount of information available to users in Indonesia by increasing the current number of maps and data assets by 10,000, helping reduce exploration risk in the region.

Advances in Skin & Wound Care, a peer-reviewed journal from the Lippincott® portfolio, published by Wolters Kluwer, and the official journal of the American Professional Wound Care Association, has announced the appointment of current clinical editors Elizabeth A. Ayello and R. Gary Sibbald as Co-Editors-in-Chief, effective with the August 2018 issue. They succeed outgoing Editor-in-Chief Dr. Richard “Sal” Salcido, the journal’s longest-tenured Editor-in-Chief, who will transition to Editor Emeritus.

The Board of Directors of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) has announced the selection of Dr. Suzanne Bakken as the new Editor-in-Chief of the AMIA peer-reviewed informatics journal, Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association (JAMIA). Dr. Bakken is a noted expert in applying informatics and data science methods to address health disparities affecting underserved and Latino communities. The appointment, effective January 1, 2019, brings Dr. Bakken full circle with the journal.

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and the Five Colleges Consortium have agreed to an EBSCO FOLIO Beta Partnership. The consortium includes Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. These institutions will leverage the FOLIO Library Services Platform in a variety of institutional scenarios.
