Wolters Kluwer Health has announced the launch of Lippincott Clinical Experiences: Community, Public, and Population Health Nursing to prepare nursing students for practice in the burgeoning field of population health using an innovative virtual community with realistic, hands-on clinical experiences. Designed to be integrated in nursing programs, Lippincott Clinical Experiences delivers a wide-ranging variety of clinical encounters to help students gain proficiency in practice environments that are logistically challenging to simulate, such as natural disaster sites, domestic violence shelters or correctional facilities. The program can also help supplement clinical time or missed clinicals.

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) has announced a partnership with Unbound Medicine, an innovative leader in digital healthcare content management. In 2017, after twice publishing their book, Nutrition Guide for Clinicians, the PCRM was eager to modernise their content and distribution. They intended to make their guide more readily accessible to members by sharing it online and as a mobile resource.  HighWire Founding Director John to lead industry initiative on manuscript exchange
Members of the National Information Standards Organization (NISO) have approved the ‘Manuscript Exchange Common Approach’ (MECA) – a major new academic publishing initiative co-led by HighWire Founding Director John Sack. The project will see the industry’s leading technology providers work together on a more standardised approach to the transfer of manuscripts between and among manuscript systems, such as those in use at publishers and preprint servers.
