 Publons launches inaugural Global State of Peer Review report
Publons, a scholarly peer review platform, has launched the Global State of Peer Review report, the largest study of peer review. The report brings together novel results of a survey of more than 11k global researchers alongside data from Publons, ScholarOne, and Web of Science. The inaugural report asks four big questions linked to the major challenges facing the scientific and academic research community at present.

 SPARC Europe supports new funder-driven mandate on researchers to publish OA
A new initiative aimed at greatly accelerating the migration to a fully Open Access research environment in Europe was recently announced: Plan S. Backed by 11 national funding organisations joined together in the guise of cOAlition S, and with the support of the European Commission and the European Research Council, the Plan aims to see all research funded by participating funding organisations being published via OA compliant journals or platforms by 2020. SPARC Europe supports cOAlition S and Plan S, and is working on ways to aid their success.

King’s College London supports its researchers in making their research more widely available.
