Clarivate Analytics, a leader in providing trusted insights and analytics to enable researchers to accelerate discovery, and UNSILO have announced a partnership to pilot artificial intelligence capabilities in ScholarOne, a manuscript submission and review system. Adoption of artificial intelligence during submission and peer review has been slow. The partnership aims to change that by rapidly developing and testing UNSILO’s Manuscript Evaluation features in ScholarOne.

 MDPI integrates Hypothesis open source annotation tools
Academic open-access publisher Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) has integrated the open source annotation software Hypothesis for MDPI journal articles. Using tools available on article webpages, scholars can make public or private comments anywhere on the abstract or full-text HTML pages. Users can also highlight specific parts of the text, and all annotations will be linked to their MDPI account.

 OCLC awarded IMLS grant to help public libraries, partners respond to opioid epidemic
Non-profit global library cooperative OCLC has been awarded a $249,714 National Leadership Grant by theInstitute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to collect and share knowledge and resources to support public libraries and their community partners address the opioid crisis. In partnership with the Public Library Association (PLA), OCLC Research will produce eight case studies of varied communities in which the public library is already playing a role in responding to the opioid crisis.
