 Wiley and AIChE launch new journal – Journal of Advanced Manufacturing and Processing
Publisher John Wiley and Sons, Inc. and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) have announced the launch of a new quarterly, peer-reviewed journal – Journal of Advanced Manufacturing and Processing. Set to debut in Spring 2019, the new journal will focus on capturing leading-edge manufacturing techniques and technologies that reduce costs, save energy, and create solutions that address societal needs.

Scholarly publishers will soon be able to receive usage reporting from Mendeley, Elsevier’s Scholarly Collaboration Network (SCN), and Digital Science’s literature discovery tools, ReadCube, Papers, and Dimensions. These industry firsts are made possible by a collaboration led by ElsevierAtyponDigital Scienceand COUNTER to develop a new standard for Distributed Usage Logging (DUL).

 University Consortium of the South of Russia gain access to Digital Science’ Dimensions and Figshare
Research technology company Digital Science has announced an agreement that will provide researchers and students from the University Consortium of the South of Russia access to two products aimed to transform the way their researchers manage, search and analyse research, and to support student education through access to both Dimensions and a pilot project with Figshare. It is expected that these products combined will offer a seamless way to organise research as well as powerful search, visualisations and reporting functionality to track funding trends, compare performance and research outcomes, and inform strategic planning.

 Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica acquires three Aggregagent journal collections
ACCUCOMS, a provider of sales and marketing services to academic and professional publishers, has announced that Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica has chosen to purchase the Sports Science, Physical Therapy and Orthopedics AggregagentTM collections featuring 42 journals. Aggregagent now includes 28 publishers with a total of 550 journal titles covering a wide-range of subject collections both within STM and HSS.

 OCLC Research and CAUL partner to gauge innovation trends, priorities in research libraries
OCLC Research has announced that it is conducting a survey to gauge innovation trends and priorities in research libraries, in partnership with the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL). The survey is being sent to library directors at 47 institutions in Australia and New Zealand. The survey aims to gain intelligence regarding trends, capacities, and priorities within the research library community.
