 Elsevier among top suppliers revolutionising the NHS through digital transformation
Elsevier, the global information analytics business specialising in science and health, has been added to the new NHS England Health Systems Support Framework, which is intended to act as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the regional Sustainability & Transformation Partnerships.  ASTM International announces organisational changes
ASTM International has announced the hiring of Richard Lindberg to serve as the organisation’s new chief information officer and vice president. Lindberg will oversee ASTM International’s IT operations and content curation division. In addition, ASTM announced organisational changes aimed at optimising operations and positioning the organisation for the future, effective October 22.

 70th Frankfurter Buchmesse comes to an end, international participation increases
The 70th Frankfurter Buchmesse ended with an increase of 0.8 percent in visitors at the weekend and a slight decrease of 1.8 percent during the trade visitor days. A total of 285,024 (2017: 286,425) visitors attended the fair, 0.5 percent less than in 2017. Overall, international attendance increased at the fair this year, both in terms of exhibitors and trade visitors. With 7,503 exhibitors from 109 countries taking part at this year’s Frankfurter Buchmesse, the fair experienced a slight increase.

 CAPES signs five-year deal to benefit from CABI’s scientific publications and databases
The Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES), a Brazilian federal government agency under the Ministry of Education, has signed a five-year deal to benefit from CABI’s scientific publications and databases including CAB Asbtracts – an online platform of more than 12 million records. CAPES is responsible for quality assurance in postgraduate courses with more than 200 institutions serving as members of the academic consortium.
