 ChemRxiv announces Direct Journal Transfer to streamline submission of research for journal peer review
ChemRxiv, a chemistry preprint server for the global chemistry community, has announced Direct Journal Transfer, a new feature that will help authors submit their posted preprints to established journals for editorial consideration and peer review. This feature, which is now available on the ChemRxiv website, currently enables direct submission to journals published by the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and the German Chemical Society (GDCh), including ChemPubSoc Europe (CPSE) journals.

 Cambridge University Press signs major OA deal with Bibsam
Academic Publisher Cambridge University Press has reached a major open access deal with higher education and research institutions in Sweden. The three-year ‘read and publish’ deal has been agreed with Bibsam, a consortium of 85 higher education and research institutions, led by the National Library of Sweden.

The American Institute of Physics (AIP) has received a three-year, $646,697 grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation to make a unique collection of rare books in the physical sciences universally accessible. The grant will enable AIP’s Niels Bohr Library & Archives to provide global, digital access to the Wenner Collection, a repository that features 3,800 volumes, dating back nearly five centuries.
