 Users of the Ex Libris Alma system can now search, check prices, and order from million of ProQuest OASIS platform titles
Librarians can now order print book titles directly from the Alma library services platform, as a result of a new integration between Alma and OASIS, ProQuest’s search, selection, and ordering system. Alma users have the option to search the extensive OASIS catalogue, check book prices, and execute an order – all without leaving the Alma interface.

 International Journal of Optics accepted into the Science Citation Index Expanded
Hindawi has announced that the International Journal of Optics has been accepted into the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), an index of more than 8,500 notable and significant journals from Clarivate Analytics’Web of Science. The addition of the journal to SCIE means that published work will now be more discoverable to a wider audience, as well as providing extra recognition for the authors, editors, and reviewers. It also means that the journal will receive its first Impact Factor when Clarivate Analytics release their 2018 Journal Citation Report later this year.

The International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) has announced the launch of a new journal, Quantitative Science Studies (QSS). QSS is owned by ISSI, the primary scholarly and professional society for scientometrics and informetrics, and will be published jointly with the MIT Press in compliance with fair open access principles. QSS will be a journal run for and by the scientometric community.

 Knowledge Unlatched to double number of OA titles from 2018 collections to 700 new books
In 2018, Knowledge Unlatched (KU), the central platform for Open Access (OA) financing models, expanded into new collections and introduced new partnerships, resulting in the doubling of the number of books made available as Open Access. For the first time titles have been offered in both Humanities, and Social Science (HSS) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). In 2019, Knowledge Unlatched will continue to promote its Partner programs to further grow the number of OA titles and services.
