Academic Publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) and Barnes & Noble Education, Inc., a provider of educational products and services solutions for higher education and K-12 institutions, have announced a new agreement. Through this agreement, OUP eBooks will be made available through inclusive access models offered on campuses served by BNED nationwide through its Barnes & Noble College and MBS Textbook Exchange subsidiaries.

 Karger Publishers acquires substantial minority shares of Quertle
Medical and scientific publishing company Karger Publishers recently acquired a substantial minority of the shares of Quertle, Inc., headquartered in Henderson, in a move to strengthen Karger’s position as an innovative and reliable partner for the health sciences research community.  Digital Science to provide Dimensions access to researchers at Kazan Federal University

 MDPI announces 1000 articles milestone for OA journal Electronics
Open access publisher Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) has announced that its open access journal on the science of electronics and its applications, Electronics, has published more than 1000 articles and reviews since its inception in 2012. Electronics is now covered in the Science Citation Index Expanded in Web of Science and received its first Impact Factor of 2.110 for 2017, which corresponds to rank 113/260 (Q2) in the JCR category ‘Engineering, Electrical & Electronic’.
