Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, and phactMI, a non-profit collaboration of pharmaceutical company Medical Information (MI) leaders, will develop a new semantic search portal designed to provide healthcare professionals with scientifically accurate, up-to-date and unbiased information. HighWire’s Rejected Article Tracker granted US patent |
Scholarly publishing technology provider, HighWire, has been issued a patent for the algorithm and design which underlies the HighWire Vizor Rejected Article Tracker. Granted on April 9, 2019 by the United States Patent Office, the algorithm was developed by John Sack as lead inventor, working with a number of co-inventor colleagues, to identify articles which a publisher has rejected and to track the performance of these rejected articles in the publishing marketplace.
