On the second day of the Book Fair, highlighted events included panels on the future of content with ‘Copyright Clearance Center‘ discussing open access and the Book Fair media partner ‘Press Reader‘ talking about disruption in newspapers and magazines. Additionally, a photo exhibition dedicated to the winners of this year’s edition of the “European Union Prize for Literature” (EUPL) – the only prize honouring the best new literary voices from all over Europe – was organised at Hall 4.0 F.

Elsevier to publish the Journal of Thoracic Oncology from January 2016
STM publisher Elsevier and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) have jointly announced Elsevier’s appointment as publisher of the IASLC’s official journal, Journal of Thoracic Oncology (JTO), beginning January 2016. Published since 2006, the Journal of Thoracic Oncology emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach including original research (clinical trials and translational or basic research), reviews, and opinion pieces.

Wiley and ASME in deal to develop and publish co-branded imprint of mechanical engineering books
Global publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the premier society for mechanical engineers, have announced an agreement to develop and publish a co-branded imprint of mechanical engineering books. Wiley and ASME expect to publish ten new titles per year, with potential to expand this number in future years.
