Wolters Kluwer, a global provider of information and point of care solutions for the healthcare industry, has announced that it will publish the National League for Nursing’s (NLN) respected, peer-reviewed research journal Nursing Education Perspectives. The journal’s January/February 2016 issue, the first to be published by Wolters Kluwer, is currently available.

Florida State University Faculty Senate passes university wide open access policy
The Florida State University Faculty Senate, in consultation with its Library Committee and staff of the FSU Libraries, voted unanimously this week to adopt a university-wide Open Access (OA) policy. FSU joins a growing list of major universities with similar policies designed to create a safe harbour for faculty intellectual property rights and dramatically increase the visibility of FSU journal scholarship.

Association of American Publishers announces new Center for Innovation & Digital Learning

The LOCKSS Program, Stanford University Libraries and The CLOCKSS Archive support ‘Long-tail’ publishers
Communities using the LOCKSS Software have collaboratively passed an important milestone and are now preserving over 1000 ‘long tail’ journal publishers, smaller publishers who have ten or fewer journals. Content from these publishers are most at-risk for loss, making preservation vital to guarantee future access to the material for research and teaching.

Kudos, a service for maximizing the reach and impact of research publications, has announced that it has completed an integration with Europe PMC. This integration means that authors’ plain language descriptions of their work on Kudos are now indexed and linked to from article abstracts held in the Europe PMC repository.
