Frankfurt Book Fair 2016 – highlights of day 2 |
Numerous highlights awaited fair visitors on day two of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2016. Manuel Valls, Prime Minister of the French Republic, was one of the speakers at the press conference of the Guest of Honour 2017, France. In the early afternoon, Argentinean artist Marta Minujín laid the foundation for an art installation called “The Parthenon of Books”, which she will present to the public at the documenta 14 in Kassel, Germany.

This will be the 39th annual meeting of the society and the first time in its history to utilise a comprehensive online abstract submission system.

A partnership between the CDL, Harvard Library, and UCLA Library has been awarded funding from IMLS to create Cobweb, a collaborative collection development platform for web archiving,https://github.com/CobwebOrg/cobweb. Cobweb will help libraries and archives make better informed decisions regarding the allocation of their individual programmatic resources, and promote more effective institutional collaboration and sharing.
