Elsevier implements FORCE11 Joint Declaration of Data Citation Principles to encourage and reward authors for sharing research data |
STM publisher Elsevier has implemented the FORCE11 Joint Declaration of Data Citation Principles for over 1800 journals. This means that authors publishing with Elsevier are now able to cite the research data underlying their article, contributing to attribution and encouraging research data sharing with research articles. The FORCE11 data citation principles were launched in 2014 with the aim to make research data an integral part of the scholarly record.

Springer, part of Springer Nature, a leading global research, educational and professional publisher, will publish the journal Reviews of Modern Plasma Physics (RMPP), starting in 2017. Amy Lydic to assume the role of General Manager for SSP on December 1, 2016 |
Ann Mehan Crosse, SSP’s Deputy Executive Director will step down and Amy Lydic will assume the role of General Manager for SSP on December 1, 2016. Amy works out of Kellen’s Chicago office, however, the other SSP/Kellen staff, Jennifer Lanphere, Jan Kalne, and Linda Pocsik, will remain in the Denver office. SSP’s mailing address and telephone numbers will remain the same.

Overleaf, an innovative provider of scientific writing and publishing tools, has announced a partnership with Cambridge University Press (CUP) – the publishing business of the University of Cambridge. Through this new partnership authors of three Cambridge journals (see below) are able to write and collaborate using LaTeX into pre-formatted templates, and directly submit manuscripts created in the Overleaf platform to the journals involved.
