Elsevier publishes seven new neuroscience titles |
STM publisher Elsevier has announced the publication of Neural Data Science: A Primer with MATLAB® and PythonTM by Erik Lee Nylen and Pascal Wallisch. The book offers a beginner’s introduction to the principles of computation and data analysis in neuroscience, using both Python and MATLAB in parallel, giving readers the ability to transcend platform tribalism and enable coding versatility. Elsevier also announced the publication of six additional neuroscience books.

ProQuest is collaborating with Asian Studies scholars, librarians and Chinese-language publishers to offer a selection of Chinese-language ebooks, enabling libraries to provide resources demanded by researchers. The growing collection spans thousands of titles available on the Ebook Central®, ebrary® and EBL platforms. The platforms’ multi-language interfaces accommodate readers of traditional and simplified Chinese, and other languages.

Spanish National Research Council selects Ex Libris Alma to help improve support for scientific research in Spain |

CLIR and Jisc partner to enhance digital services |
The Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) and Jisc recently announced a partnership to advance programmes of mutual interest for academic communities, on both sides of the Atlantic. BioRAFT in deal with Stanford University to acquire ChemTracker brand and intellectual property |
BioRAFT, a Digital Science portfolio company, has entered into an agreement with Stanford University to acquire the ChemTracker brand and intellectual property. Through this agreement BioRAFT will be able to integrate ChemTracker’s powerful chemical safety and regulatory information database with BioRAFT’s enterprise solution and user-friendly interface. Development will begin immediately on a ChemTracker module within BioRAFT.
