Cambridge University Press and VSNU announce full OA journals agreement
Academic publisher Cambridge University Press (CUP) and the universities in the Netherlands recently concluded a three-year agreement guaranteeing 100 percent open access to academic journals. As of June 1, researchers at Dutch universities will be able to publish articles in CUP’s full open access journals via the so-called ‘gold route’.

The 2017 CWTS Leiden Ranking uses Web of Science data from Clarivate Analytics
The CWTS Leiden Ranking 2017 has shared insights into the scientific performance of over 900 worldwide universities from 54 different countries. The ranking looks at all universities worldwide with more than 1,000 fractionally counted Web of Science indexed core publications between 2012 and 2015.

Elsevier and SonoSim to expand ultrasound education into North American nursing market
Elsevier, an information analytics company specializing in science and health, and SonoSim, Inc., a provider of ultrasound education and training, have announced an agreement to expand ultrasound education into nursing programs in North America. The agreement aims to accelerate the adoption of bedside ultrasound and empower nurses to make faster, better decisions and avoid errors at the point of care through access to the most complete and trusted evidence-based ultrasound content.
