Brill and Data Archiving and Networked Services launch new OA journal on research data
Academic publisher Brill and Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS) launched the Research Data Journal for the Humanities and Social Sciences, a new, international, peer-reviewed, Open Access data journal, during the International Open Access Week. The Research Data Journal for the Humanities and Social Sciences (RDJ) contains short publications (data papers) in which researchers describe their dataset, the context of their research, ask key questions, and explain the methods used.

Oxford University Press includes first licensed-in content from academic publishers in Oxford Scholarly Editions Online
Academic publisher Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced that the first content from licensing agreements with several leading academic publishers is now available on Oxford Scholarly Editions Online (OSEO). This October’s update includes the 20-volume University of California Press edition of the Works of John Dryden ­(to date, the longest-running research project in the humanities ever undertaken at UCLA), volumes of the Edinburgh edition of the Works of Thomas Reid, and 16 British Academy titles. These will be added to OSEO together with recently published editions from OUP.
