Elsevier expands pulmonary patient education video library, adds more than 50 new titles
STM publisher Elsevier has expanded its pulmonary patient education video library, adding more than 50 new titles, and introduced a bariatric video library. In addition, Elsevier has launched six individual video titles focused on in-demand topics including Fall Prevention, Lumbar Puncture, Thoracentesis, Reducing Falls After Stroke, and Pressure Injury Prevention. All of the new titles are available in English and Spanish.

SPIE journal Neurophotonics accepted into Science Citation Index Expanded
Neurophotonics, a journal published by not-for-profit publisher SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, has been accepted for inclusion in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), part of the Web of Science. The journal is already included in PubMed, PubMed Central, Scopus, and several other abstracting and indexing databases.

IDPF members approve plan to combine with W3C
The member organisations of the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) have approved, by a margin of 72 (88%) in favour to 10 (12%) opposed, a plan proposed by the IDPF Board of Directors to combine IDPF with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The plan will now proceed, with anticipated completion of the combination by January 2017 still subject to finalization of the necessary definitive agreements.
