American Doctoral Dissertations now includes 80,000 new citations from 1902 to present and links to full text
American Doctoral DissertationsTM, a free database made available by EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO), OhioLINK, H.W. Wilson Foundation and the Congregational Library & Archives in Boston, now offers greater coverage of 20th century research and access to full text. The enhanced American Doctoral Dissertations, accessible at http://www.OpenDissertations.com, includes more than 172,000 theses and dissertations in total, including 80,000 new citations for theses and dissertations from 1902 to the present and a link to full text, when available, is included.

Wolters Kluwer completes acquisition of Emmi
Wolters Kluwer Health has completed the acquisition of Emmi Solutions for a total net consideration of $170 million in cash following termination of the waiting period under the U.S. Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. The agreement to acquire Emmi was originally announced on October 4, 2016. In a separate announcement, the Health Division of Wolters Kluwer announced that its Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) medical and nursing journal portfolio won four awards and earned Honorable Mention nominations in 12 categories at the 2016 FOLIO: Eddie & Ozzie Awards.

Eastern Michigan University Library becomes first institution to integrate Alma and Summon
Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that Eastern Michigan University (EMU) is adopting the Ex Libris Alma® library management service to replace the university library’s Voyager® integrated library system, which EMU has been using for nearly 20 years. EMU, which runs the ProQuest Summon® discovery service, will be the first institution to integrate Summon and Alma.

U-M Library and Knowledge Unlatched survey to focus on the scalability of OA monographs in the humanities and social sciences
In June 2016 the University of Michigan Library (U-M Library) and Knowledge Unlatched (KU) began a collaboration ‘to study and overcome remaining obstacles to the spread of Open Access (OA) scholarly publishing in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS).’ One of the products of this partnership will be a survey of academic librarians in the United States conducted by Dr. Christopher Barnes, a fellow at U-M Library and an LIS student in the School of Information.
