Publisher John Wiley & Sons Inc. has announced the launch of a new Author Services website that streamlines the publishing process for authors publishing with the majority of Wiley’s more than 1600 journals. Author Services supports users through every stage of the publishing process, from submission and peer review through to acceptance and publication.

Elsevier partners with the US National Cancer Moonshot Initiative to launch first assessment of cancer research on global scale |
STM publisher Elsevier has announced that the first installment of a benchmark report on worldwide cancer research activity. The report, designed to help inform and extend the effectiveness of the White House National Cancer Moonshot Initiative, together with an online Cancer Moonshot Resource Center, are part of Elsevier’s efforts to support the advancement of cancer research in general.

Digital Science has announced that the Global Research Identifier Database (GRID) dataset will be made available under a CC0 license allowing users to make full use of the database releases with no need for attribution. The CC0 license means that others may freely build upon, enhance and reuse GRID data for any purposes, without restriction under copyright or database law, similar to many open source software licenses.
