The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) will pilot a new Mentorship Program starting in June 2017. The SSP Career Development Committee is seeking up to 12 mentors and up to 12 mentees to participate in this new program and provide feedback. New BioMed Central and Digital Science report looks to the future of peer review |
Open access publisher BioMed Central and Digital Science have announced a new report, according to which, in order to affect real, industry-wide improvements to the peer review process, publishers, researchers, funders and institutions need to be willing to experiment with different models, encourage more diversity in the reviewer pool, utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) and support training and mentoring for peer reviewers. The report ‘What might peer review look like in 2030?’ is based on the lively and progressive sessions at the SpotOn London conference held at Wellcome Collection Conference centre in November 2016.
