In the latest GreenLight blog, the Center’s Director Susan Handy reflects on what the research is saying in regards to the effectiveness of various land use and transportation related strategies at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This review comes at an important time as California decides how to invest revenues from its Cap-and-Trade Program on projects that help people replace car trips with low-carbon transportation options. She will be talking more about these strategies on October 7 at an ARB research seminar.
