Publishing and technology company Macmillan Science and Education has announced the launch of a publishing initiative that will make it easy for readers to share an unprecedented wealth of scientific knowledge instantly with researchers and scientists across the globe. Subscribers to 49 journals on nature.com can now legitimately and conveniently share the full-text of articles of interest with colleagues who do not have a subscription via a shareable web link on nature.com.

Elsevier unveils new Amirsys diagnostic decision support and education solutions at RSNA 2014
STM publisher Elsevier launched enhancements to Amirsys solutions, STATdx and RADPrimer, at the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting in Chicago. The new STATdx 6 has a new look and feel and a flexible platform to continuously bring radiologists current content for confident diagnostic decisions. RADPrimer now enables faculty to assign reading materials and tests across the entire curriculum and has a new Pre-Call Readiness exam, making it a virtual teaching assistant.

Collaborative agreement among Gale and three universities in British Columbia provides provincial-wide access to research materials
British Columbia’s 4.6 million residents now have free perpetual access to leading Gale research databases – nearly 200 million pages of digital historical content – as part of a unique agreement arranged by the University of Victoria Libraries, University of British Columbia Library, and Simon Fraser University Library. All of the materials will be delivered via Gale’s Artemis: Primary Sources platform, which means the collections are cross-searchable and leverage advanced research features such as graphing and search visualization tools.
