Springer retracts 64 articles from 10 Springer subscription journals
STM publisher Springer has confirmed that 64 articles are being retracted from 10 Springer subscription journals, after editorial checks spotted fake email addresses, and subsequent internal investigations uncovered fabricated peer review reports. After a thorough investigation it was discovered that the peer review process on these 64 articles was compromised.

CCC’s new RightFind XML for Mining solution to include majority of STM journal content from Springer Nature
Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a global licensing and content solutions organisation, has announced that Nature Publishing Group (NPG) is participating in its RightFindTM XML for Mining solution. The CCC service will include the majority of STM journal content from Springer Nature, the new organisation combining Springer Science+Business Media and the majority of Macmillan Science and Education.

The American College of Cardiology is collaborating with Apollo Hospitals in India to provide the College’s guideline-driven educational content to physicians participating in Apollo’s Medvarsity e-learning program, India’s first medical e-learning venture. Jisc appoints Dr Paul Feldman as new chief executive
Jisc has announced the appointment of Dr Paul Feldman, currently an executive partner at Gartner UK, as Jisc’s new chief executive, effective mid-October 2015. He has extensive experience of working at a senior level in large, complex IT organisations. Paul takes over from Professor Martyn Harrow who, over the past four years, has transformed the organisation to better meet the changing needs in UK universities and colleges.
