New licensing terms for Springer eBooks and journals expand online learning permissions
STM publisher Springer, part of the newly formed publishing group Springer Nature, will offer customers a way to make their online educational initiatives even more attractive, starting October 2015. A unique offer to licensed institutions will allow them to embed, at no extra charge, up to 30 specialized links to Springer eBook and journal content into any non-commercial educational platforms.

Elsevier publishes seven new books on Oil and Gas Reservoir Engineering
STM publisher Elsevier has announced the publication of seven new books covering oil and gas reservoir engineering, including the third edition of Reservoir Formation Damage by Faruk Civan. The books are available on both the Elsevier Store and ScienceDirect, Elsevier’s full-text scientific database offering journal articles and book chapters from over 2,500 peer-reviewed journals and more than 33,000 book titles.

Thieme partners with National Library of the Netherlands to secure long-term archiving of digital publications
Medical and scientific publishing house Thieme is depositing the entire content of all 150 journals available on Thieme Connect to the International e-Depot of the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (KB), the National Library of the Netherlands. Following successful collaborations with US providers CLOCKSS and PORTICO, Thieme now expands its long-term data archiving strategy to Europe.
