The American Journal of Nursing (AJN) has recognised the best nursing and healthcare publications of 2015 with an announcement of its annual Book of the Year Awards. Winners in 20 categories appear in the journal’s January issue. AJN, ‘the leading voice of nursing since 1900,’ is published by Wolters Kluwer.

LibLynx to develop custom SSO solution for Alexander Street Press
Electronic publisher Alexander Street Press (ASP) has engaged LibLynx to develop a custom Single Sign-On (SSO) solution that extends their access management system across two new technical platforms. ASP currently manages customer access through an in-house application that enables authentication and authorisation of customers across a variety of existing internal platforms.

Harvard’s Jonathan Zittrain to lead panel on creativity, innovation and transformation at ALA Midwinter Meeting
Jonathan Zittrain, co-founder, director, and faculty chair, Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, will be a featured speaker, along with American Library Association (ALA) President Sari Feldman and other ALA leadership, in a discussion on how library professionals can further emphasise the critical value of libraries to decision-makers and influencers. In his remarks, Zittrain will focus on the work at Harvard’s Library Innovation Lab on developing new concepts, services and tools for libraries.
