Elsevier and Grand Valley State University’s Kirkhof College of Nursing to collaborate on Clinical Practice Model Framework research
STM publisher Elsevier will be collaborating with Grand Valley State University’s Kirkhof College of Nursing (KCON) on quality improvement and research studies that measure outcomes associated with the implementation of Elsevier’s Clinical Practice Model (CPM) Framework. The research, which will expand opportunities for GVSU nursing students and faculty members, will be coordinated through the Bonnie Wesorick Center for Healthcare Transformation, a dedicated interprofessional setting within KCON.

Five new Nature titles announced
Five new titles will join the Nature family of journals in January 2017. These include Nature Astronomy, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Ecology & Evolution, Nature Human Behaviour and Nature Reviews Chemistry. These new journals expand the Nature portfolio to serve rapidly growing scientific communities, particularly in multidisciplinary research and research aimed at solving most pressing societal challenges.

The IET in deal with CEPRI to co-publish new, open access engineering journal – High Voltage
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has signed an agreement with the China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI) to co-publish a new, open access engineering journal, High Voltage. The journal will publish original research papers and review articles covering high-voltage power engineering and applications, including experimental, computational and theoretical studies.

Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Health Sciences Library in Australia selects Ex Libris Suite
Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Health Sciences Library, which also serves the Royal Women’s Hospital, has selected the Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution and SFX OpenURL link resolver to replace the library’s EBSCO Discovery ServiceTM. The RMH evaluation team sought a discovery platform and open-link resolver that would provide a simple, intuitive way for users to access resources. The library had been using another vendor’s solution, but because of product redevelopment and the configuration of the discovery index, the solution was no longer meeting their needs.
