Elsevier publishes six new forensic science titles

STM publisher Elsevier has announced the publication of Forensic Investigations: An Introduction by Brent E. Turvey and Stan Crowder. Using cases from the authors’ extensive files, it provides an overview of major subjects related to forensic inquiry and evidence examination. The book will prepare criminal justice and criminology students in forensic programs for more specialised courses and provide a valuable resource to newly employed forensic practitioners. Elsevier also announced the publication of five additional forensic science books.

Wiley appoints David C. Dobson to its Board of Directors

Publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc., has appointed David C. Dobson, Chief Executive Officer at Digital River, to its Board of Directors, effective March 22, 2017. Submissions open for Altmetric annual research grant 2017

Data Science company Altmetric has announced that applications for its annual research grant are now open. First launched in 2016, the grant provides up to £1,500 ($1,900 USD) to fund research that facilitates the development and understanding of alternative research metrics (altmetrics) as part of the wider scholarly agenda.
