Elsevier, the global information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced that six start-up companies have been selected from more than 150 global applicants for The Hive, Elsevier’s innovation initiative for biotech and pharmaceutical start-ups. Exscientia, LegoChem Biosciences, 4P-Pharma, Beacon Discovery, Sigilon Therapeutics, and Unum Therapeutics, were selected for their commitment to cutting-edge science in emerging areas of research.

Two EBSCO Health clinical resources were named among the top performing point-of-care reference tools in the 2018 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report. KLAS, a research firm that specialises in monitoring and reporting the performance of healthcare vendors, found that Nursing Reference Center PlusTM and DynaMed Plus® were among the top performing clinical decision support – point of care clinical reference tools, with Nursing Reference Center Plus ranked number one and DynaMed Plus coming in as a close second.
