 Taylor & Francis and Cambridge University Press join blockchain for peer review project
Academic publisher Taylor & Francis Group and Cambridge University Press have joined a pilot project to test blockchain technologies applications to peer review. Taylor & Francis Group have joined the initiative, announced in March 2018, which focuses on the problems of research reproducibility, recognition of reviewers and the rising burden of the peer-review process.

 Springer Nature acquires medical communications service provider Medidact
Springer Nature has announced the acquisition by its Springer Healthcare business of Medidact, part of Van Zuiden Communications – a medical communications agency targeting the Dutch healthcare market. Both companies reached an agreement on April 24, 2018. The acquisition fits perfectly into the strategy of Springer Healthcare Benelux to continue to grow as a provider of scientific communications and services.
