Elsevier, the global information analytics business specialising in science and health, and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), have announced an agreement to provide access to ScienceDirect, Elsevier’s leading platform of peer-reviewed scholarly literature, for universities and research institutions across Italy. Both parties have also initiated a pilot program that encourages Italian researchers to publish their articles open access in support of CRUI’s open access ambitions. The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from Occupied Territories, Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia and healthcare knowledge provider BMJ have announced that BMJ Best Practice, a clinical decision support tool, and BMJ Learning, an online learning platform, have been accredited for the purposes of CME and CPD. The CME and CPD credits earned by doctors for using BMJ Best Practice and BMJ Learning will now be formally recognised by the Ministry and other healthcare organisations across Georgia. The Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin) has established an institutional agreement for open access publishing with Frontiers. The University Library of the TU Berlin supports its researchers in making their research more widely available. As part of this support, TU Berlin has entered into an institutional agreement with Frontiers. Under the terms of this agreement, eligible authors from TU Berlin may publish in any Frontiers journal at no cost to them and with a simplified process.
