These collections join the already featured open access article collection ‘Hogrefe OpenMind’ in psychology/psychiatry, medicine, and nursing on ScienceOpen.

 Klas M. Boivie joins ASTM International Board of Directors
Klas M. Boivie, Senior Research Scientist at the Department for Production Technology of SINTEF Manufacturing in Trondheim, Norway, has joined the three-year term on the ASTM International board of directors. An ASTM International member since 2009, Boivie is a member of the committee on additive manufacturing technologies (F42), where he serves as the chairman of the terminology subcommittee and a member at large of the executive subcommittee.

 EFSA to share data on open-access platform
EFSA has taken a major step towards becoming a fully open data organisation by committing to publish the scientific data it uses for EU-wide monitoring programmes and surveys and many of its risk assessments. In a recently published report, EFSA lays out how it intends to share data collected in areas such as: food consumption habits; pesticide residues in food; chemical contaminants and additives in food; foodborne disease outbreaks; and antimicrobial resistance.
