 Elsevier and the International Solar Energy Society launch second Renewable Transformation Challenge
Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, and the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), have announced the return of the Renewable Transformation Challenge, following the success of the first Challenge in 2017. The Challenge honours outstanding work that contributes to a world powered by renewable energy and with accessible energy-for-all. The winner of this year’s Renewable Transformation Challenge will be awarded €20,000 EUR.

 Emerald signs DORA, underlines its commitment to accelerating pathways to impact
Academic publisher Emerald Publishing has signed up to DORA, the Declaration on Research Assessment, supporting its vision to advance practical and robust approaches to research assessment globally and across all scholarly disciplines. This aligns with Emerald’s Impact Manifesto, launched by Vicky Williams, Emerald’s CEO in March 2018. The manifesto called for change across the whole academic ecosystem, recognising that the traditional markers of influence such as citations were not sufficient to tell the full story of impact.
